Planet Marathi OTT, a leading name in the digital space is all set to bring some of the best films and shows of the Marathi language. Incorporated by Akshay Bardapurkar, the streaming platform is focusing to bring the finest art of cinema and entertainment over the digital space. The one of a kind platform is in the news, and recently it was revealed that senior journalist and former anchor of Zee 24 Taas, Jayanti Waghdhare was appointed as the AVP - Social Media. Excited about her new journey, the journalist is all set to ace creativity with her diversified experience.
With a career in journalism of more than a decade, Jayanti has been a popular name among many celebrities. As per the BCG report earlier in December 2020, it was revealed that OTT subscriptions rose by 60 per cent. The unfortunate pandemic saw the rise of online streaming platforms, and it is estimated to prosper in the coming years as well. Speaking about it, Jayanti said, "We all are in a messy situation right now. Digitalization is taking over the world, and it has helped OTT platforms rise at an unprecedented rate. People want to be entertained and to keep them glued, the makers of many films are opting for OTT releases to make good profits."
