Wedding bells ring again for Touch Your Heart actor Shim Hyung Tak and his Japanese wife Hirai Saya. According to the Korean actor's agency, the couple renewed their vows in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday. Shim Hyung Tak and Hirai Saya got married in July this year near Mt Fuji in Japan.
In a statement issued through the agency Alomalo Humain Entertainment, Shim Hyung Tak said, "I am beyond happy to have wise and lovely Saya as my wife. After my last tears I shed at the wedding in Korea, I will stop crying and become a strong husband for Saya and our family. I promise to protect my wife for the rest of my life." For the Seoul wedding, Shim Hyung Tak wore a white shirt and black suit. Hirai Saya looked stunning in a white embellished gown.

According to Soompi, the first part of Shim Hyung Tak and Hirai Saya's wedding ceremony was hosted by Jun Hyun Moo whereas the second part was hosted by comedian Moon Se Yoon. The report stated that the wedding song was performed by singers Lee Seung Chul and Shin Sung, who are appearing together with Shim Hyung Tak on Channel A's Groom's Class.
Shim Hyung Tak and Hirai Saya fell in love while working on the television show titled Groom Class. Talking about his first wedding, he told Huffington Post Korea, "We will have a wedding first in Japan on July 8," and "we will get married right under Mt Fuji". He announced the wedding in April after four years of meeting her.
Funnily, Hirai Saya made headlines for sharing a resemblance with BTS member Jungkook. During his Weverse live session, the K-Pop star reacted to the comparison and said, "Ahhh I saw it, that post about Shim Hyung Tak's wife. We do look alike!"
Shim Hyung Tak has acted in projects like Rustic Period (2002), Snow White: Taste Sweet Love (2004), Drama City: Watch for the Angel (2007), The Road Home (2009), Three Sisters (2010), Welcome Rain to My Life (2012), You Are the Boss (2013), Let's Eat (2014), Miss Mamma Mia (2015), and Touch Your Heart (2019).
According to reports, Hirai Saya is reportedly 18 years younger than Shim Hyung Tak.
