BTS Festa 2024 is right around the corner and ARMY across the globe can't wait to participate in all the fun activities planned for the event. As Seoul is set to be painted in hues of purple, the South Korean boy band's eldest member Jin will mark his return from mandatory military service. A notice shared by Bighit Music on Weverse read, "This event was prepared in order to fulfill Jin's wish to spend meaningful time with ARMY in person on BTS's debut day. We invite you to join us as we express our gratitude for your unwavering love for BTS."
About the event
The event will take place at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 13 at 3 PM. It will not be streamed online.
As per the label, "The first session (Meet-and-Greet with Jin) is a time for light hugs with Jin per request from the artist and is expected to last about three hours. If you win the raffle but do not wish for a hug, you can replace it with a handshake. Every precautionary measure will be put in place to ensure no unpleasant incidents occur during the event. We ask for your kind cooperation."
"The 2024 FESTA in-person event with Jin will be held for the Weverse shop GLOBAL purchasers of albums (including solo albums) released after "Proof." More details on the event will be provided in a separate notice," it added.
The second session will be streamed live on Weverse exclusively for ARMY MEMBERSHIP (GL, JP, US) holders on the same day at 8 PM and will last for about an hour.
As per the label, "Jin will showcase various performances that ARMY wishes to see."
Jin, the eldest member of BTS had enlisted for military services in December 2022. He is expected to return around June 10-15, 2024. The decision by BTS to enlist helped avert a sticky situation for South Korea's government. Military service is compulsory for all able-bodied males under 30 years old. The current system allows for some exceptions on the grounds of exceptional service to the country. Some top athletes and classical musicians have been excused on this basis, but pop artists have not.
