After much anticipation and following a heartfelt plea from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, pop superstar Taylor Swift has at last unveiled a series of six tour dates in Toronto as part of her record-breaking Eras World Tour. This announcement comes as a sigh of relief for Canadian Swifties, as Canada is now back on Swift's touring map.
Initially, the 33-year-old singing sensation excluded Canada from her widely successful tour, which left her Canadian fanbase disheartened. Prime Minister Trudeau took to social media and personally reached out to Swift, appealing for her to include Canada in her tour schedule. In a tweet on July 5, he wrote, "It's me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don't make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon."
