Grammy 2023: Win for trans community

Sam Smith and Kim Petras were presented with a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group performance for their collaboration, Unholy. Grammy winner Smith gave Petras the stage to accept the award. "Sam graciously wanted me to accept this award, because I'm the first transgender woman to win this award," Petras said.

"I just want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open." She dedicated the award to the late Scottish producer Sophie, who, she said, "told me this would happen and always believed in me."
