A day after Suga from BTS was diagnosed with COVID-19, band members RM and Jin also tested positive. The update was shared by Big Hit Entertainment in a statement posted on WeVerse. "After returning on Friday the 17th from the United States following his personal schedule as part of his official vacation period, RM immediately underwent PCR testing, was found negative and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated by COVID-19 control procedures. However, he underwent PCR testing today before his scheduled release from quarantine and was found to be positive for COVID-19," Big Hit said. The company added that RM, is currently exhibiting "no particular symptoms".
Jin had returned to Seoul on December 6 and completed quarantine, including two negative PCR tests, after his arrival. Big Hit said that he began to feel "flu-like symptoms" and underwent PCR testing, which came back positive. "He is exhibiting mild symptoms including light fever and is undergoing self-treatment at home," it said.
The label confirmed that both members received their second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in late August and are following Korea's guidelines. It added that neither of them had been in contact with any of their bandmates since returning to Korea.
