She is just 15, but actress Chloe Grace Moretz says that director Martin Scorsese treated her as he treated other senior actors on the sets of Hugo.

The film also features Ben Kingsley, Christopher Lee and Jude Law.u00a0"I think it's really the mood that he makes on the set... He makes everyone feel equal, no matter who you are, no matter how big you are, no matter how famous you are, no matter how iconic you are... you feel equal to each other," Moretz said in an e-mail interview.

In the film, the actress has shared screen space with Asa Butterfield, who plays protagonist Hugo Cabret. Set in 1930s Paris, it tells the tale of an orphan, who lives in the walls of a train station and is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.

"Scorsese treats Asa and I, just as well as he treated Sir Ben and Sir Christopher Lee. He treated us all as if we were just actors on a set, as if we were little actors on a little set, doing a little movie, with a little director, so it was really special," she added.

In the film, Moretz plays the role of a young and adventurous girl, who helps Hugo unravel the mystery surrounding his father. It will be released in India May 4 by Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

"Isabelle's a really interesting character to play for me, not only because of the British accent that I had to do in it, but because she's a very naive, young, adventurous and spontaneous type girl. She's very book smart and she loves big words. She was a really fun character to play, I learned a lot from her," said the 15-year-old.

"Hugo" is a 3D film and Moretz says it is important to be as natural as possible while shooting for a 3D version.u00a0"As an actor, it's actually pretty much the same except you have to be very, very, very natural with it. You cannot overact with this camera, because it shows everything. So you really have to be the most natural you've been before in a movie, so that was really something that was cool to do with this movie.

And it really did enhance it, it draws you in as a watcher and a listener," she said.u00a0Moretz, who has been a part of films like "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Big Momma's House 2", is eagerly looking forward to the response to "Hugo".

"I'm excited to see what people's general take of it is, see like what they really take out of it, because it really does appeal to all different things, it really is a movie that adults and children will love. Children will love it because it's told from the point of view of a kid," she said.u00a0
