Academy award winning singer-actress Jennifer Hudson is demanding a seven-figure cheque for her planned autobiography.
The American Idol alumni who grabbed headlines after dropping more than 80 pounds in the past year, has been hawking a book proposal to major publishers and wants USD 1 million for the effort.
The Oscar and Grammy winner plans to tell-all about her struggling days as a musician and her transformation from a size 16 to 6.
But while the 'Dream Girls' star's story is marketable, publishers are holding out for the full story about her coping with the horrific slaying of her family.
The 29-year-old's mother, Darnell, her older brother, Jason, and her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, were killed in October 2008, allegedly by her brother-in-law, William Balfour. Hudson has rarely commented on the tragedy.
