Los Angeles: The production of the sequel to 2012 alien sci-fi 'Prometheus' will start in January 2016. Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are set to reprise their roles as David and Elizabeth Shaw respectively, while Ridley Scott will again sit behind the lens, reported Aceshowbiz.
It has been years since the plan of untitled 'Prometheus' sequel was announced, but only few updates about the movie have been revealed. Scott, hinting, he would shoot the film in January 2016. said, "I've got back into the sci-fi thing, I kind of adore it."
Although fans were not really impressed with 2012's 'Prometheus', they seem to be interested to see how a sequel will perform and how the director improves and develops the story.
As the production will begin less than a year from now, it likely means that the team behind the movie must already have the script.
Ridley Scott, 77, and Walter Hill produce the movie while the script is written by Michael Green. The sci-fi movie is set to hit US theatres on March 3, 2016.
