Legendary veteran actor Sulochana Latkar, who was a prominent figure in the Hindi and Marathi film industry, passed away on Sunday, June 4. The actor who was undergoing treatment for a prolonged age-related illness at a Mumbai hospital, breathed her last at the age of 94. While the news of Latkar's passing away has sent shockwaves through the Hindi, as well as, the Marathi film industry, it has also saddened the entire country. Her funeral took place on Monday, June 5 (today) in Mumbai. The late actor was given full state honours wrapped in the Tricolour. From CM Eknath Shinde to Raj Thackeray and from Jackie Shroff to Sachin Pilgaonkar, several notable personalities from the world of politics and the film industry arrived at the late actor's residence to pay their last respects to the departed soul.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, visited Latkar's residence to pay his last respects to the legendary actor.
Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, too arrived at Latkar's residence to pay homage to the veteran actor. He also interacted with the media which was stationed outside the actor's residence.
Raj Thackeray, the chief of MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena), arrived with his wife, Sharmila Thackeray, to pay the last tribute.
Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff also marked his presence at the funeral and offered his last respects to the late Sulochana Latkar with a garland.
Sachin Pilgaonkar, a noted actor in Hindi and Marathi cinema, too had arrived to pay homage to the legendary actor.
The 94-year-old actor was given full state honours wrapped in the Tricolour.
Sulochana Latkar's funeral is to be held in the funeral ground in Shivaji Park, Mumbai today.
