The makers of upcoming fiction show Bahu Begum hosted a grand launch party at a plush hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. The bash was attended by several television celebrities including cast of the show, Simone Singh, Diana Khan, Samiksha Jaiswal and Arjit Taneja. All Pics/Yogen Shah

For the promotional event, the lead cast stunned the audience with their outfits. Samiksha Jaiswal rocked the floor in her pink kurti, and a stunning floral jacket. Her white dupatta and golden slippers further enhanced her glory. On the other hand, Diana Khan opted for a colourful anarkali dress for the event.

Simone Singh also graced the event in her all-white attire. Simone who is remembered for her roles in Ek Hasina Thi, web series Haq Se and other diverse roles in films, will be playing the character of Raziya in Bahu Begum. This is the second time she will be playing a Muslim character after Heena. "Strong roles empower an actor and that's exactly what Raziya is about," she says.

Speaking about the show, the romantic drama series focuses on the royal family of Bhopal. In the show, Begum Razia (Simone Singh) is preparing for the engagement of her son Azaan Akhtar Mirza (Arjit Taneja) with Noor (Samiksha Jaiswal). Unknown to her, Azaan is in already in a relationship with Shayra Sayyed (Diana Khan).

Samiksha Jaiswal is excited to play the role of Noor in the serial. Samiksha made her mark in the television world with Zee TV's popular show Zindagi Ek Mahek. The series run for 2 years before ending on September 1, 2018.

Arjit Taneja looked dapper in his white-grey dress. Arjit will be playing the Azaan Akhtar Mirza, the heir-apparent of the deceased Nawab of Bhopal and the only son of Begum Razia, the Bahu Begum of Bhopal.

Rehaan Roy stole the show in his blue shirt, white pants and white jacket, which he teamed it up with brown shoes. Rehaan, who is known for his role in Ogo Bodhu Sundori, Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha and Vikram Bhatt's web series Tantra, will play the character of Khalid in the show. Viewers will be able to watch the show from Monday, 15th July at 9:30 pm.
