Sara Ali Khan made a strong impression about her demeanour even before arriving on the celluloid with Kedarnath in December last year.

The ripples began to appear when she made an appearance with her father and actor Saif Ali Khan on Koffee With Karan.

After the success of Kedarnath and Simmba, Sara Ali Khan has two films lined-up for 2020. The first one is Valentine's Day release, the Imtiaz Ali directorial, touted to be a sequel to Love Aaj Kal, also starring Randeep Hooda. The next one is a Labour Day release (May 1), titled Coolie No. 1, starring Varun Dhawan and directed by the original director David Dhawan.

Talking about Coolie No 1, the David Dhawan directorial is the remake of his 1995 film by the same name. The original Coolie No 1 starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. It had a stellar cast of Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor, and the remake will have Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav as the supporting cast.

Talking about the remake, in an interview with IANS, David Dhawan said, "After re-watching the original, I started working on the script. For six months, I wondered if I should make it or not. Finally, I decided to adapt it. It's actually a new film."

"I've worked on it for almost a year with the original writer Rumi Jaffery on the screenplay and Farhad Samji on the dialogue," added director David Dhawan. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, the remake will release on May 1, 2020.
