It looked like Alia Bhatt was among millions of people who tuned into Salman Khan's Bigg Boss OTT 2. For the actress, it made more sense as her half-sister Pooja Bhatt was one of the 13 contestants to participate in the show. She was also a finalist. While Alia was supporting Pooja, she also praised Elvish Yadav and Manisha Rani. On August 14, Elvish defeated Abhishek Malhan to bag the trophy.
Alia, who is riding high on the global success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, hosted an Ask Me Anything session on Twitter on Wednesday. During the same, a fan asked Alia to say something about the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner. The actress wrote, "Systummm". In response to this, the YouTuber said, "I Love You". Now, the section of people who didn't favour Elvish, called out Alia for supporting him. A user shared how distasteful he spoke to Swara Bhasker in the past.
A user dug out old tweets written by Elvish for Swara. The person wrote, "Hello @aliaa08, This is Elvish Yadav, the person you're showering praise upon. Take a good look at his utterly reprehensible attitude towards women, how he is shamelessly engages in $'exual h@rassmâ¬nt directed at@ReallySwara. What a downgrade for an actress like you." The user attached screenshots of how insulting Elvish has been towards Swara.

Swara reacted to the tweet and reshared her on her page. Back in 2021, the actress and Elvish engaged in a heated Twitter argument over a political matter. When Swara presented facts to prove Elvish wrong, she tweeted, "Liar liar! Chaddhi (underwear) on fire!" Elvish then replied by writing, "Excessive m@sturb@tion makes you blind was a myth but swara didi isko sahi prove karri hai. GST word use kiya mene swara?"
Alia has been supportive of Elvish for quite some time. During the promotional event of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in Kolkata, the actress said, "Elvish mujhe bohot naughty lagte hai. Unka jaisa woh andaaz hai, jaise woh bolta hai (Elvish is very naughty, the way he speaks), it's very entertaining. He is very funny. I like him a lot."
