Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are in the North of India to promote their upcoming film, Gadar 2. After offering prayers at the Golden Temple, the team headed to interact with fans and the army at the Atari border. Udit Narayan, the lead singer of Gadar, was present with Sunny and Ameesha.
Sunny, who returns as Tara Singh, wore a pastel yellow kurta and teamed it up with a white pyjama. He matched his outfit with an olive-coloured turban. Gadar 2's Sakina, Ameesha, was dressed in a blue sharara. The actress completed her look with a unique necklace with reference to her character's name in the film.
At the Attari Border, Sunny danced with people and also drew cheers and claps by saying his iconic dialogue from Gadar, "Hindustan Zindabad Hai tha, Zindabad Hai aur Zindabad Rahega." He and Ameesha met the BSF forces and had a conversation with them. While the team of Gadar 2 marked their presence, the crowd couldn't stop cheering and hooting for them. Sunny also met his Pakistani fans. Ameesha and Sunny did Bhangra for fans after the Beating Retreat Ceremony.
Making the promotional round even more special, Udit crooned the popular song Main Nikla Gaddi Leke and treated the army as well as the audience. The trio also posed with the army officials at the Attari Border. Reportedly, after the team's visit to Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, the makers will be holding a concert in Delhi where 10,000 plus fans are expected to gather.
Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is produced by Zee Studios. The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma. The trailer of Gadar 2 was launched on July 26. Sharing it on Instagram, Sunny wrote, "Apne parivaar aur desh ke liye, ek baar phir se Gadar machayega Tara Singh! On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, presenting you all with #Gadar2Trailer (sic)."
Gadar 2 revolves around Tara and Sakina. Their son Jeet is abducted by Pakistanis. The doting father has to rescue his son. To do so, he has to cross the border. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on August 11.
