Celebs extend condolences on Poonam Pandey`s tragic demise
On Friday, a post on Poonam Pandey's Instagram handle revealed that the actress had passed away due to cervical cancer. The news of Poonam Pandey's death came as a shock to her fans. Now, hours after this sad news has taken over the internet, Poonam's celebrity friends have extended their condolences.
Kangana Ranaut, who hosted the reality show âLock Upp', took to Instagram stories and wrote, "This is so sad. Losing a young woman to cancer is a catastrophe. Om Shanti."
Bigg Boss 17 and Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui tweeted, "Shocking! Can't process the news. Poonam was a great human being. Sad. RIP (rest in peace)." Actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt also took to X, writing, "So tragic to hear about Poonam Pandey. I had never met her, but when life claims someone so young, it is always devastating. My prayers and deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose life she impacted."
Karanvir Bohra, who was a participant with Poonam in Kangana hosted the show, also tweeted, "I'm still in disbelief. Poonam Pandey, I pray this news is not true." Rakhi Sawant also shared a video where she showed her disbelief.

The latest Instagram post on Poonam Pandey's handle, shared on Friday morning, read, "This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared."
Her manager issued a statement which said, "Poonam Pandey was not only a luminary in the film industry, but she was also a beacon of strength and resilience." According to the World Health Organisation, cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women.
Poonam was popular on social media for sharing provocative pictures. She was last seen in Kangana Ranaut-hosted reality show âLock Upp', where she was competing against Munawar Faruqui, Karanvir Vohra, and others.
