Farhan Akhtar has unveiled the much-anticipated successor to the iconic character of Don. The torch is now being passed to none other than Ranveer Singh, who steps into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan to take on the role of the new Don. This legendary figure once again finds himself in the crosshairs of the relentless '11 mulkon ki police' (police of 11 countries). A captivating teaser video has been unveiled, introducing Ranveer Singh to the beloved franchise and its ardent fanbase.
The teaser opens with an enigmatic shot of Ranveer Singh positioned in a high-rise building, his back turned to the camera. The moment he turns to face the camera, Ranveer Singh confidently introduces himself as the enigmatic Don.
With the release of the teaser, Farhan Akhtar took to social media to make the announcement. In his tweet, he proclaimed, "A New Era Begins #Don3." While he tagged Pushkar Gayatri in his post, it's noteworthy that the directorial reins for this venture will remain in Farhan Akhtar's capable hands.

Recently, in a statement on Instagram, the director-producer wrote, "In 1978, a character created by Salim-Javed and portrayed by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan with effortless elan, captured the imagination of theatregoers across the country. That enigmatic character was Don. In 2006, Don was reimagined and brought to life by Shah Rukh Khan in his own irresistibly charming way. From Don's sardonic wit to his cool but menacing fury, Shah Rukh embodied his persona. As writer & director, I had a great time creating not one but two, 'Don' films with Shah Rukh and both experiences remain very close to my heart." He further added, "The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
