Kartik Aaryan celebrates 5 years of 'Luka Chuppi,' says, 'it gave me so much validation'

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan commemorates the 5 year anniversary of his hit romantic comedy `Luka Chuppi` and expresses his gratitude to fans for liking it

Kartik Aaryan as Guddu from his 2019 released romantic comedy 'Luka Chuppi' indeed ruled the hearts of the audience with his entertaining performance. With his fabulous comic timing and charming aura of a lover boy, the young superstar delivered a performance that received unanimous love from all across.

The film indeed came as a remarkable turn in his career and as it has completed 5 years of its release today, the superstar revisited the memory lane with a short glimpse of his scene from the film with a heartfelt note for his fans.

Marking the 5 years, Kartik took to his social media and shared a scene of Guddu Ki Bidaai from 'Luka Chuppi' and jotted down the caption, "#5YearsOfLukaChuppi … #GudduKiBidaai A film that released right after Sonu Titu and gave me so much validation. Luka Chuppi received a positive critical response from all across. While Kartik also received love and praise for his performance, his chemistry with Kriti Sanon was loved by the audience.

The superstar also gave some chartbuster musical albums with the film that consists of songs like, 'Poster Lagwado Bazar Mein', 'Coca Cola', 'Photo', and 'Laung Laachi'. The film became a major financial success at the box office, grossing 128.60 Cr. worldwide.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in 'Chandu Champion', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', 'Aashiqui 3' and the periodic war drama made under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

'Chandu Champion' which will be releasing on 4th June 2024 is his maiden collaboration with director Kabir Khan and is based on the life of India's first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar, who won the 50 metres freestyle swimming competition at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany.

The project, billed as "the true story of a man who refused to surrender", has started on a good note with Petkar and his family liking the actor's first look. The Padma Shri recipient's son Arjun begins, "My dad liked the look. As a civilian, it's inspiring for Kartik to play such a role. Now, the world will know who Murlikant Petkar is."

During the 1965 India-Pakistan war, Petkar, a soldier of the craftsman rank in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) in the Indian Army, suffered debilitating injuries that rendered him paraplegic. He took to swimming as recommended by the doctor, and eventually represented India internationally.
