Karan Johar is one of the most trending names across social media platforms and television almost every day. The filmmaker juggles various roles, including a talk show host, producer, anchor, judge, and much more. Amidst his busy schedule, there are also his two kids, making him a single father. The director has a son and a daughter, Yash and Roohi. These little munchkins are his world, and their pictures send the internet into a meltdown whenever they go viral. Johar has now opened up about welcoming the two through surrogacy.
Karan welcomed Yash and Roohi in 2017 through surrogacy. He became the talk of the town during those days for his decision to welcome children as a single father and co-parent them with his mother, Hiroo Johar. He revealed that at 40, his mother asked him about his future plans, and all he could think of was having babies
In a recent interview with The Week, he said, "When I was 40, my mother asked me what my life plans were since marriage wasn't on the cards. I told her I really wanted to have babies." Revealed Hiroo Johar's reaction to it he added, "She was wonderful [about it], but I was taking my time".
"She reminded me again a year later. I only told her about it once the doctors informed me that three months of pregnancy was complete. The babies were expected in April, but they arrived in February. I had to officially announce their arrival from a flight to London once I knew a couple of newspapers were going to carry the story. I could go to the hospital only a month after," Karan Johar added.

Talking about receiving trolling, Karan Johar said that his children have only received love there. "I am used to trolling, but surprisingly, my kids were met with so much love. Even now, when I put up anything about them, there is not a single negative comment", he said.
Karan Johar has many things lined up as a producer including Salman Khan's The Bull, and an untitled Kartik Aaryan starrer. But as a director, he is yet to announce his next after Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.
