For all those who were wondering as to where Malvika Raaj, the little, cute innocent girl who played the role of Poo aka Pooja from the multi starrer superhit film â'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', the good news is that, she is now all grown up to be an actress. Testimony to her acting prowess was her powerful performance in âSquad'.
Mid-Day Online caught up with her for our exclusive section âDiwali Chat With Celebs'. Here are the excerpts:
Malvika, what are your Diwali plans?
It's the same like almost every year! We will dress in our festive attire and have a family get together at home. After that, we will do Laxmi pooja. Besides all this, we will heavily cheat on our diets (laughs) and also play a little bit of cards!
Do you believe in gifting or getting gifts during Diwali?
I think both inevitably happens⦠(laughs)

Do you burst firecrackers during the festival or you believe in having a 'sound and smoke pollution-free' Diwali?
I am a strong believer and preacher of NO crackers on Diwali. I 100% agree on a sound and pollution free Diwali. There's also my little doggy at home, who gets petrified. My heart hurts to see him like that. I can't even image how tortured our stray dogs would be.
What does Diwali mean to you?
Quality family time and mithai... lots of them!
What new or exciting stuff have you planned for Diwali this year?
This Diwali night, we have thought of going for a drive and feeding all the stray dogs in our vicinity and making sure they are ok (tears filled her eyes).
What's your message to our readers for Diwali?
Happy Diwali everyone. I wish you all to have a sweet, safe and sound free Diwali. Lots of love to all.
