Sanjay Dutt with daughter Trishala
Sanjay Dutt's New York-based daughter Trishala winged her way to Los Angeles to be with Papa Dukes (as she refers to daddy dearest) on her birthday. On Tuesday, she turned 33. The actor is visiting LA-based bestie Paresh Ghelani. To make her birthday special, they went on a road trip. Trishala appears to have knocked off several kilos, and Sanju, who is in La La Land since mid-July, has been up and about in his new collection of Hawaiian shirts.
It would have been touted as the big clash at the box office in normal times. Karan Johar's production, Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra, drops digitally today, while Ajay Devgn's Bhuj: The Pride of India releases on an OTT platform tomorrow. Considering both are war dramas, there will be comparisons as there's no love lost between them. KJo and Devgn were involved in a bitter feud in 2016 when their films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay were released on the same day. The fight turned ugly when Devgn claimed KJo had "paid" people to criticise his film. It also made a dent in Johar's friendship with Kajol. In his memoir, An Unsuitable Boy, KJo talked about what had happened and how he could "never be friends with Kajol again." Things cooled down between them after the arrival of Johar's kids, Yash and Roohi. Now, fans are wondering if the fight for more eyeballs will continue online.

Apart from Sunny Deol, Scam 1992 actor Shreya Dhanwanthary and Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan, R Balki's psychological thriller also features Pooja Bhatt. Subhash Ghai caught up with Tiger Shroff and hinted at a possible collaboration. The veteran filmmaker informed that they "talked cinema" while tucking into lunch at his office and he was "looking forward to making a great motion picture together." Director Ahmed Khan and cinematographer Kabir Lal were also present. Tiger's father, Jackie Shroff, and Ghai go back a long way. The two worked together on several films, including Hero (1983), Ram Lakhan (1989) and Khalnayak (1993). Looks like Ghai has now set his sights on Tiger but the actor's busy date diary (Heropanti 2, Baaghi 4 and Ganapath) means things won't roll anytime soon.
Ram Madhvani has finished filming the second season of the web series, Aarya, fronted by Sushmita Sen. The director penned an appreciation note for the cast and crew, which read, "The journey of Aarya 2 has been tough, scary but fun. The new normal in life resulted in a lot of struggles as we chose to do what we are passionate about." Madhvani added, "But what makes it worthwhile is the team you journey with and I am grateful to each and every one of these passionate people. Without their dedication and work ethic, we wouldn't have finished shooting it safely." The unit began shooting in February this year. The series is the desi adaptation of the Dutch show, Penoza. Sikander Kher, Ankur Bhatia and Sohaila Kapur are also part of the crime drama.
Internet sensation Sahdev Dirdo features in the music video of Bachpan ka pyaar alongside Badshah, Aastha Gill and musician Rico. The rapper has given the track a new spin to "celebrate the power of social media."
Amitabh Bachchan has begun shooting for the 13th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. On Wednesday, he posted pictures from the set of the quiz show at Film City and got nostalgic. "Back on that chair from 2000... that's 21 years... a lifetime... gratitude to all that came along," Big B wrote. The veteran superstar has hosted all the seasons since the show began, except for the third outing in 2007, which was anchored by Shah Rukh Khan.
R Madhavan, who was on his way to Dubai to shoot for Kalpesh Garg's Amriki Pandit, shared that he was the only passenger on the flight. On Wednesday, he took to Instagram and posted a series of videos to show the empty airport lounge and the aircraft with no other passengers. "July 26, 2021... amusing but sad. Praying hard for this to end soon so loved ones can be with each other," wrote Maddy. Wonder why he shared it a fortnight later when restrictions are being eased.
