Ajay Devgn, Neeraj Pandey and Ayushmann Khurrana
It has been four years since Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey's historical venture, 'Chanakya' was announced. While the period drama hasn't gone on floors yet, news is that the actor and the filmmaker are teaming up for an edge-of-the-seat thriller now. It is also being said that Ajay's and Neeraj's production houses could jointly produce the yet-untitled film. Interestingly, it is a two-hero subject and the director is reportedly in talks with Ayushmann Khurrana for the parallel lead. The actor is believed to have given his nod for the project, even though he hasn't inked the deal yet. Sources claim that pre-production for the movie is underway and Neeraj is looking to begin filming in another couple of months, with the first major schedule in Bhopal. Additionally, Anupam Kher, who has worked with the director a number of times since Special 26 (2013), has also been brought on board for a pivotal role.
Having earned laurels for 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' (2021), Abhishek Kapoor has begun working on his next directorial venture. Instead of casting known names, he is looking to launch new actors. Not surprising as Gattu has previously launched new faces like Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Kai Po Che' (2013) and Sara Ali Khan in 'Kedarnath' (2018). Moreover, he directed Farhan Akhtar's acting debut 'Rock On' (2008), and gave Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh their first commercial success in Kai Po Che.

Ranbir Kapoor turned a year older yesterday. He brought in his 40th birthday at his Pali Hill home on Tuesday night, in the company of family and close friends. Apart from mom Neetu Kapoor and actor-wife Alia Bhatt, RK was joined by Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shaheen Bhatt, Akash Ambani and wife Shloka for the celebrations. However, cousins Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were conspicuous by their absence. Wonder why, since Ranbir and Alia had attended Bebo's 42nd birthday celebrations at her home only a week ago. And more so, since she was very much in town and spotted posing for pictures with actor-hubby Saif Ali Khan. Never mind if she wished Ranbir in a social media post.
It appears that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone might team up for a movie again. At the FICCI Frames Fast Track recently, the Gully Boy actor was asked if he was collaborating with his actor-wife again. Referring to their last outing together, he said, "We're glad that the audience loved whatever little scenes we had together in 83 [2021]. So yes, you will see me and Deepika together again very soon. There is a surprise in store." The two actors started dating when they collaborated on their first film together, Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela (2013). The only time they shared screen space after their marriage is 83, but they had limited scenes together in the sports drama. Ranveer added, "I also want to work with her again to see how the dynamics are [post marriage]. Besides, she is a fantastic actor to work with." The duo have worked together in four films so far, including Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).
