Have you heard

Shakeel and Pooja Bhatt

Looks like busking, which is popular in the US and Europe, is slowly becoming a trend in Mumbai. It is considered a dignified way of asking for money by showcasing your musical talent on the streets. When Pooja Bhatt's attention was drawn to one such person who was busking to the song, Jab koi baat bigad jaaye, she was moved by his soulful rendition of the track, sung by Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam, from father Mahesh Bhatt's film Jurm (1990). A video of him on social media made the actor track down the singer, Shakeel, a Bengaluru-based musician, who has come to Mumbai to live his Bollywood dream. He has been busking in the by-lanes of Andheri with his UPI card number for online payments so that he can pay his music school fees. Bhatt immediately sent him a token of appreciation.
