In a viral clip from the event in Bhopal, which was attended by co-stars Rohit Bose Roy, Digangana Suryavanshi, Kanwaljit Singh and Sourabh Raaj Jain, Tiwari quips, "Mere bra ka size Bhagwan le rahe hai." Shweta Tiwari was, in jest, referring to Jain, who played Lord Krishna in Mahabharat, and features as a lingerie salesperson in the digital show Showstopper. A section of netizens were not amused by Tiwari's joke and slammed her for talking about God while referring to her inner-wear. Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra has reportedly directed the police to investigate the remark and submit a report. "I have heard it and I strongly condemn it. I have directed the Bhopal police commissioner to probe it. After that, we will see what action can be taken," Mishra said.
On Thursday, Mouni Roy tied the knot with beau Suraj Nambiar in a traditional south Indian ceremony. The destination wedding at a Goa hotel began with the haldi and mehendi on Republic Day. The actor's colleagues, including Mandira Bedi, Arjun Bijlani, Aashka Goradia and Aamna Sharif were present. "I found him at last... hand-in-hand, blessed by family and friends , we are married. Need your love and blessings," Roy wrote while sharing snapshots from the festivities on Instagram. Nambiar is a Dubai-based entrepreneur. On Thursday, Lata Mangeshkar was taken off the ventilator for a trial period. Family members posted the health update on the legendary singer's social media account. The statement added, "Lata didi is showing signs of improvement but she will remain under observation in the ICU of the Breach Candy Hospital". Mangeshkar, 92, was hospitalised earlier this month after testing positive for COVID-19.
Filmmaker Suneel Darshan has complained against Google CEO Sundar Pichai. He claims that his 2017 romantic drama, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha, starring Upen Patel, Shiv Darshan and Natasha Fernandez, has landed on YouTube illegally. Due to the millions of views on Google's online video sharing platform, he is not making money from it. Darshan alleges that as Google refused to take the movie off, he filed a case at the MIDC police station.
The makers of Madhuri Dixit-Nene's web series, Finding Anamika, have done a rethink about the title. It is now called The Fame Game. On Thursday, the show's poster was unveiled along with the announcement that it drops on Netflix on February 25. Karan Johar's production sees Dixit play a superstar in the drama, which marks her digital debut. Helmed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, The Fame Game also features Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Muley and Muskkaan Jaferi.
