Like several B-Town couples, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also took off to ring in 2022 together. The two were photographed at Mumbai airport late Tuesday night. There is speculation that they have headed to B-Town's go-to destination, the Maldives. Kapoor and Bhatt preferred to be guarded about their destination.

On Wednesday, Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula tested positive for COVID-19. Their cousin Rhea Kapoor and director husband Karan Boolani also contracted the disease. It is the second time Arjun has been struck by the virus, having battled it in September 2020. The BMC sanitised the actor's residential premises as per the guidelines. Rhea took to Instagram and wrote that she got infected "despite being careful but this is the nature of the pandemic". She added that they are taking the prescribed medications and precautions. "Everything tastes bad except chocolate, my head hurts, and I'm still grateful that I got it the way I did, and we will be fine in no time. For everyone reaching out to make sure we are okay, we are not too bad, and thanks for checking. We love you", the Veere Di Wedding (2018) producer posted. On Wednesday, Anshula turned a year older. Her birthday celebration was marred by the test reports. Dad Boney Kapoor and uncle Anil Kapoor are also said to be undertaking the COVID-19 test as a precautionary measure.
Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak announced a sequel to the Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid (2018). The film seeks inspiration from the recent income tax raids on perfumer Piyush Jain in Uttar Pradesh. Officials reportedly seized Rs 195 crore in cash, 23 kilograms of gold and sandalwood oil worth R6 crore after conducting searches at several premises linked to the businessman, who has been arrested for tax evasion. Pathak unveiled his plan during a panel discussion at the Kashi Film Festival in Varanasi on Tuesday.
Bachpan ka pyaar singer Sahdev Dirdo, who was injured in a road accident, is improving. Badshah posted that the Internet sensation "has regained consciousness". Dirdo, 10, was on his way to his village in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh when the mishap occurred. The rapper had collaborated with the youngster for a remix version of Bachpan ka pyaar after the track went viral in July.

Sonu Nigam is winging his way to Dubai to be with wife Madhurima and son Neevan. The singer's family relocated after Neevan sought admission in a school in the desert emirate. Nigam, who was busy with his recordings and tours, barely got time to visit them for the past few months. As soon as he wrapped up his commitments, he took off to ring in 2022 with them.
