Exclusive: ‘We will be celebrating at Salman Khan’s Diwali party tomorrow,’ says Ramesh Taurani

Producer Ramesh Taurani's Diwali party on Tuesday saw the star studded presence of Salman Khan, Iulia Vantur, Aayush Sharma, Suniel Shetty, Ekta Kapoor, Bobby Deol and others. Taurani speaks to mid-day.com about the celebrations.

How did you plan your Diwali party this year?
Usually we invite 150-160 people but this time we had a selective crowd because we had to maintain social distancing. We only invited 50 people who had confirmed they will attend. It took a lot of planning. All our staff members were wearing masks and were full vaccinated.

Any special items that are always on the menu?
Jalebi is the specialty of my Diwali parties. Diwali mein jalebi nahi khaya toh kya khaya?

Salman Khan always makes it to the guest list…
Salman Khan has been a friend since 1991. Whether he comes to our house or we go to his, it's the same thing. It's a very close friendship.

How do you plan to celebrate tomorrow?
We will be celebrating Diwali at Salman Khan's Diwali party hosted by his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma tomorrow.
