Hina Khan, in an exclusive interview with mid-day.com's Anjali Singh, spoke about social media trolls, not getting affected by them anymore, and shared her expectations from herself as an actress. When asked about her approach towards trolls, Hina had a befitting reply. Here's what the actress had to say.
"I have had my fair share of trolling. I still get trolled for something or the other. Now it has stopped affecting me. Initially, I used to block some trolls, now I don't even do that because I feel that no reaction is the best reaction. Even if you block someone, it is a reaction. They don't even deserve that they get blocked by me. So, I completely ignore, sometimes I read, sometimes I don't. If I am busy I miss out on a lot of tweets on my timeline," shared the Ex-Bigg Boss contestant.
Hina Khan also said, "You'll get trolled for a lot of small things, and being a public figure, people expect so much from us. Even when I upload a story on Instagram, and there is a typing error, we get trolled for that too! They are like, oh my God, she doesn't even know how to spell it. But people don't understand that even I can make mistakes. I can make errors too. What is the big deal in it? Even when I try to give out a good message through my social media feeds, people will not think about it like that. I don't know why people have become so negative. They just find some negative points and think 'okay, let's get hold of her for this.'"

The actress also shared how she won't let the negativity affect her personally. "Now, we as actors, have realised that they are just going to pinpoint some negativity in that, they will not look after the positive message in it. So, forget it, there is no use arguing with these people. Trust me, it doesn't affect me at all."
When asked about switching from playing the character of a girl-next-door to an antagonist, Hina quipped, "I would like to play a character that is similar to Mirzapur. I want to do something totally out and out no-fashion with a typical accent that's based in UP. Although I have worked in a short film where I played a village girl, I would like to do something really big to show people that I can carry this look and character as well. I won't mind working in such a film or a web show. I am not restricted to anything, I am ready for any challenge."
On the professional front, the actress stunned the audience with her stint in Hacked and Unlock in 2020. Hina Khan is yet to reveal her upcoming projects.
