Still from the song
Superstar Salman Khan's stylist and noted designer Ashley Rebello, the man behind his look in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,' spoke to mid-day.com and revealed some exciting details. The film's romantic track 'Naiyo Lagda' also featuring leading lady Pooja Hegde has just released and raised curiosity about the film.
Ashley said, "We shot the song in Ladakh and had decided to go with a completely Indian look. The look involved different kinds of sherwanis and kurtas in different colours. Last minute we decided to go with jeans, linen shirts and waistcoats. I had to run around and contacted a local designer in Ladakh who is fantastic, they work with pure wool and linen. I would sit with them daily and get a shirt ready for the shoot taking place the next day."
That wasn't the end to the challenges he had to face while creating Salman's look. "Getting leather waistcoats was also a problem so I got jackets that are more easily available in Ladakh. I had to cut and patch them up together and turn them into waistcoats. I added turquoise accessories because they are readily available in Ladakh. The hair was his idea not mine and the whole flowy look is part of the character. We had to keep the fabric fluid to give it a dreamy effect."
