Emotional connection! Prateik Babbar inks mom Smita Patil's name on his 'heart'

Prateik Babbar has inked mother Smita Patil's name on his chest. It also has the year she was born (1955) and an infinity sign. Sharing the picture on Instagram, the actor wrote, "My mother's name on my heart... forever."

Though he has several tattoos all over his body, this one is special, and he had been planning it for a while. He often shares throwback snapshots of his mom ‘whom he never knew, but can watch in her movies'.

Smita appeared in over 80 Hindi, Marathi and Malayalam films in a career that spanned just over a decade. During her acting journey, she received two National Film Awards. She was the recipient of the Padma Shri in 1985. The actress was married to actor Raj Babbar. She died on 13 December 1986 at the age of 31 due to childbirth complications. Over 10 of her films were released after her death.

On the professional front, Prateik Babbar was last seen in the web series Chakravyuh: An Inspector Virkar Crime Thriller, The actor is all set to woo the audience with his stint in Mumbai Saga.

Prateik has often stepped away from lead role to essay character roles in ensemble cast projects such as Baaghi 2, Mulk, Chhichhore, or Mumbai Saga among others. The actor will be seen in similar roles in upcoming films like Brahmastra and Bachchan Pandey.
