The mega Dunki-Salaar clash has kept trade analysts busy. Shah Rukh Khan's maiden collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani will be hitting the silver screen on December 21 along with Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's action thriller. With just two months left for the biggest box office clash, the makers of Dunki clarified that the release date of the socio-drama will not be changed.

On Saturday, a poster of Dunki made rounds on social media. Netizens assumed that the makers of the Shah Rukh-starrer have officially released it to confirm the release date. The authenticity of the poster isn't verified.

In the poster that went viral, Shah Rukh can be seen carrying a backpack. He was dressed in a soldier's attire. A plain desert formed the background of the poster. The text on the poster read, "A soldier's journey to keep a promise." The release date, 21st December, has been mentioned prominently.

According to reports, Shah Rukh and Rajkumar recently wrapped the shoot of Dunki and hosted a party in Mumbai. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh's children were reportedly attending it.

Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu. During his recent #AskSRK session, Rajkumar dropped a hint that the trailer will be out soon. The filmmaker wrote, "Sirji ab bathroom se bahar aa jao. Kya kar rahe ho? Trailer dikhana hain." Reacting to it, Shah Rukh tweeted, "Oh Sh#%. Coming sir…doston se baat kar raha tha!!! Sorry boys and girls have to rush now. Varna #Dunki se nikaal denge!!! Thanks for ur time boys and girls. See u in the theatres very very soon. Love u all. So much to do less time to talk to you….Muah (sic)."

Dunki is a Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation. Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon have written the film. It is produced by Rajkumar and Gauri Khan.

The film is based on the concept of Donkey Flight where Indian immigrants take a particular route to the United Kingdom. The term is based on a Punjabi idiom meaning to hop from place to place.

Dunki will be Shah Rukh's third release of 2023.
