Was Sonakshi Sinha's damage control tweet to avoid Sonam Kapoor's wrath?

Sonam Kapoor was shocked to hear what Sonakshi Sinha said on Neha Dhupia's chat show recently. Sona alleged that the Pad Man actor had showed her "some unnecessary attitude." Not known to take things lying down, Sonam took to Twitter and wrote, "Sona, I've always been warm towards you. Don't remember showing you attitude. If you feel that way I'm sorry (sic)."

Sonakshi's reply came quick, "Aww... don't be silly. We've all been on these shows where we are coaxed to say things we really don't wanna. And then aren't we used to things being blown out of proportion? Not to be taken seriously! Big hug (sic)." Sona just said it for the heck of it to increase TRPs? Such shows are said to be no-holds barred. Was Shotgun Junior's damage control tweet to avoid Sonam's wrath?
