Now it can be told why Arjun Rampal and Dino Morea didn't walk for Rohit Bal at the last minute. The two hunks were to be the show stoppers, alongwith Milind Soman (who never turned up!) Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor were to walk for Rohit to promote their upcoming release, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani but at the last minute it was announced that they would be the show stoppers.u00a0

It is believed that the producer of the film Ramesh Taurani turned up and threw around some money to get the show-stopper in the favour of his lead actors. Taurani insists that Ranbir-Kat were to be the showstoppers from the start, "I didn't ask anyone to change what was planned beforehand."

Don't walk at all

Rohit was visibly upset but put up a smiling front for the media. He was later fuming about how someone could hijack his show. He had no say in the matter, so he told Arjun and Dino to not walk at all. Says a source close to the designer, "he didn't want them to feel cheated. He is close to both Dino and Arjun, and they were in Delhi for him. He didn't want them to be a side-act, so he told them that he didn't want them to go on the ramp at all.

A distraught Arjun admits, "Iu00a0 was told that Milind, Dino and I would be the showstoppers for Gudda's (Rohit) event. Since he's a dear friend, I decided to take some time out and come for the show. But later it came to my knowledge that the showstoppers were going to be Katrina and Ranbir. I was totally okay with that, since am fond of both of them."

I didn't ditch him!

He stresses that it wasn't his decision to ditch the show, "Gudda told me, 'don't walk'. Since it was his show and it would have been strange for us to walk in the middle and disturb the choreography, I agreed to what he said."

Arjun denies asking Katrina to walk the finale with him. "I have a great work equation with her, and she and Ranbir later dropped into party with us after the show. So why would she."

Dino too maintains, "Arjun, Milind and I were to be the show-stoppers but at the last minute we were told it was going to be Katrina-Ranbir. Gudda said he didn't want to dilute the effect of us being together on screen, and so he asked us not to. And we did just that."
