WHAT:
Hosted by Sukhraj Nahar, this grand wedding held at the Oberoi hotel, had a South Indian theme, complete with mini temples, exotic art work of Radha-Krishna, wooden carvings, etc. The reception was held at the Press Club where the theme was crystals and diamonds. There was a navy and fire-brigade band stationed to welcome the guests. The feast was made up of 22 cuisines. A hoarding was put up for guidance and menu booklets were distributed at the entrance.

Raju Jethwani of Eurostar (Dubai) hosted the ceremony in Mumbai. The sangeet took place at Taj Land's end where Koena Mitra and Adnan Sami performed; the theme for this night was Moroccan and so there were tents, waitresses with veils and so on.

WHAT:
The Uttamchandanis, owners of Grand Mauritian Hotel in Mauritius, had the grandest destination wedding in Mauritius. The guests were spread over three hotels. A crew of 110 people was sent from India. Shankar Mahadevan, Raja Hasan, Akriti Kakkar and Shiamak Davar and his team performed at the ceremonies. They got married in the middle of an ocean on a wooden float.
