TV rights for 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' sells for Rs 25 crore

Even before the release of the Deol family's next family drama, the project has already raked in some impressive moolah


Sources say that the film's satellite rights have been traded for Rs 25 crore. A source associated with the film says, "Yamla Pagla Deewana went on to become a hit, setting the cash registers ringing. The talks of making a sequel had been on ever since.

Going by the rushes of the sequel that were shown to a few distributors, the buzz around the film has gone up. The same channel that had purchased the rights to the first film has struck a deal for the new film. It is the highest price any Sunny Deol-Dharmendra film has fetched till date."
