Sholay: I remember as a child, my cousin and I were obsessed with the lines from the movie. We used to have an LD of the movie that had the songs, as well as the dialogues.

The movies I loved growing up

Sholay:
I remember as a child, my cousin and I were obsessed with the lines from the movie. We used to have an LD of the movie that had the songs, as well as the dialogues. We used to play it almost everyday and pre-empt the dialogues before they came on. Even today when I catch the film on TV, I remember almost every line, making it extremely annoying for anyone watching it with me. The amazing part about the movie is that even after having watched it some 100 times, every character still feels as entertaining and every moment still as engrossing.

The Mask: This is one Jim Carrey movie I have watched at least a hundred times. Jim Carrrey being one of my favourite comedians never fails to make me laugh at his so I used to run back home form school on Friday and watch it right through the weekend. Every time I am low, give me a Jim Carrey movie to pep me up.

Andaz Apna Apna: I think this is one of the best Hindi comedies ever. Salman and Aamir's chemistry in this film is just too good. Also how can you forget Crime Master Gogo? Rajkumar Santoshi is one of my favourite directors and I think this is one of his best films till date!

Taxi Driver: Robert De Niro being one of my favourite actors, Taxi Driver is a must watch for all actors. When you are watching this film one forgets that this is actually Robert De Niro because his portrayal of Travis Bickle, the nightmarish taxi driver is so believable. There is particularly one scene where he looks in the mirror and points a gun to his head and mouths the famous dialogue "You talkin' to me?"

The Devil Wears Prada: Meryl Streep is a one-woman acting academy. And this film epitomises her amazing ability to become someone else. Anne Hathway is also one of my favourite actors and is the perfect ploy to Meryl Streep. I love her introduction scene where Meryl is appalled at Anne's lack of style. The innocence of Anne Hathaway's character compared to the cut-throat style of Meryl's character is a sight to behold.
