Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is launching newcomers Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in his production 'Hero', hosted the first screening of the film at his farmhouse in Panvel on Tuesday.

Salman Khan tweeted the image above and captioned, "Friends families , family friends hai family."

Salman's close family and friends were invited for the screening. Parents of the lead pair -- Suniel and Mana Shetty, Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab -- were also present to watch their children's debut.

Directed by Nikhil Advani of 'Kal Ho Na Ho' fame, the movie is a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff.

Jackie, the original 'Hero', was spotted outside Yash Raj Studios with the new 'Hero', Sooraj Pancholi, on Wednesday. (Click here to check out more photos)

Sooraj Pancholi shared the photo above on Twitter and wrote, "The real HERO! the legend... God has made a very few people like you... love u alot Jackie sir... #1DayToGoForHero"

The film is slated to release this Friday.
