Not without Naseer
"As it was my first step towards film direction, I had to have Naseersaab in my project," says Rakesh, who has featured in plays like Manto Ismat Haazir Ho, Katha Collage and All Thieves. "He is known to be particular about the script and storyline. When I narrated my concept to him, he gave his nod immediately. That really boosted my confidence. He even put in a word with Om Puri who co-stars."
About Padmini's casting, Rakesh says, "We were looking at certain actresses and when her name was discussed, I thought she fitted perfectly."

Apparently, when Naseer was told about the casting of Padmini, he gave a broad smile! "On Day One of the shoot, both recalled the Woh 7 Din days. It was nostalgia time for them. I didn't even realise when the 12-hour shooting schedule ended. They would keep on chatting in between the shots.
Produced by Goldy Bhutani of Shree Keshav Films, the film also stars newbie Rishi Bhutani.
