Her family lovingly calls her 'angel'. So, we're not surprised to know that Narmmadaa Ahuja's favourite colour is white. "The colour personifies me to a certain extent," says the pretty lady with a dazzling smile. With summer setting in Mumbai, CS speaks to Narmmadaa, Govinda's little girl, about making a fashion statement with the colour:

Feeling fresh
White is a universal colour. You will never see anyone looking bad in a white outfit unless the person does something horribly wrong with it. It is the colour of innocence, serenity and spiritualityu00a0-- things that directly touch your heart. You can look both virginal and sensuous in white, remember Sridevi's famous white chiffon saree image in Chandni? And of course, white helps you stay cool in summer, keeping you fresh all day long.u00a0

Denim diva
During summers, you will see me in denim or white cotton shorts with white tops or colourful ganjis. A nice bag, trendy sandals and stylish glares are all I need. I also wear white cotton/linen dresses, the flowing feminine ones as well as short tube ones. I also own a number of crisp white shirts/tops to team with my denims, shorts and capris. White tunics also look great.

I love wearing white with dark blue denims. That's my favourite combinationu00a0-- it's timeless, practical and fashionable. I feel that the white-red combination is also very hot. A trendy red bag, a pair of red/white wedges and a white dress is enough to get you set for a party. But I strongly feel that you should avoid wearing a black dress as it's too cliche.

Accessorise it
Colours like fluorescent green, baby pink, purple and red look good with white. So it makes sense to invest in sandals, neckpieces or bags in these shades. Golden or silver hoops look great on a white outfit. If you're wearing a soft white kurti with jeans, you can don a chunky beaded necklace to get a Bohemian look.

In traditional wear, I think a white flowing Anarkali can make any girl resemble an angel. Team it with silver/white sandals and some emerald green earrings or bracelet and you're set to impress. A white lace/Lucknowi saree with loads of pearls is another timeless look. You can wear a colourful bikini under a transparent white shirt and shorts. It's a perfect pool party look.u00a0
