While he had to be coerced in his first innings as a crooner (in Home Delivery), Irani ko iss baar gaana hai!
After four years, Boman Irani will be crooning again, in his film Fruit and Nut.
He first sang in Home Delivery. Director director Sujoy Ghosh had to force him to do so. This time he convinced director Kunal Vijaykar to let him sing.
Catching character's essence
In the film, Boman plays a flamboyant, quirky Maharaja Harry Holkar and he wanted to catch the essence of his character in the song. In the song, he will be seen grooving with a bunch of beautiful girls, lip synchingu00a0- "Khabardaar mujhse dur hi rehna, mere paas na aana, namaakul.... If you know what I mean khayega ek nahin teen chamat."
Boman says, "The first time around, the director was chasing me to sing. This time, I was keen to sing. It is a very catchy song. And I had loads of fun singing it." Fruit & Nut is quirky comedy. It also starring Cyrus Barucha, Mahesh Manjrekar, Boman Irani and Dia Mirza.
The film is slated to release on Oct 23.
