Quentin Tarantino is going to be honoured with a lifetime achievement award by the bosses of the International Rome Film Festival, ahead of the European premiere of his western movie 'Django Unchained' in Italy next month. CS gives you some trivia on the acclaimed director:


>> Tarantino was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Tony Tarantino, an actor and amateur musician, and Connie McHugh, a nurse.

>> He has been quoted as saying, ‘When people ask me if I went to film school I tell them, ‘no, I went to films.'
>> Production of Kill Bill: Vol 1 was delayed because of Uma Thurman's pregnancy.
>> He was the head judge at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, where ‘Pulp Fiction' won the Palme D'or, the top honour, only ten years earlier.
>> He was originally offered the chance to direct Speed, but turned it down.
