Katrina Kaif joins Twitter to promote Cannes debut

Katrina Kaif joined the Bollywood Twitter bandwagon by making her debut on the microblogging website on Saturday. If her Twitter handle @KatrinaAtCannes is anything to go by, her stint with social media seems like an attempt to create buzz around her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2015.

Although Katrina's Twitter account hasn't been verified yet, actress Sonam Kapoor is among her first followers. Katrina will also be using her account to promote a beauty brand she and Sonam endorse.

Her tweet was in reference to her making debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2015. She later tweeted and confirmed, "It's official! Will be making my debut at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival 2015."
