When people go abroad, it's natural for them to carry their cameras. But photographer Vikram Bawa says that's the one thing he avoids doing when traveling to a new place.

And what led to this decision? Vikram tells CS, "The first time I went to New York, I took my camera. I started walking and clicking and after a few hours, I had forgotten where I started from and had to go walk back and see everything again."

The ace lensman says that when you start taking photos of your journey, you forget the actual journey. "I've realised it's more important to enjoy the space and make it yours. It's no fun if it's all captured memories," he says.u00a0
