Notwithstanding rave reviews and overwhelming audience response his latest outing, 'Pink', has garnered, Amitabh Bachchan says, at this point in his career, he doesn't care much about the revenue his films generate at the box office.

Prior to the film's release, Big B, in a chat with hitlist, spoke at length about the number game. He stressed that the maker, the story, his role and most of all, interest in the subject at hand, is all that matters to him.

"At this stage of my career, I cannot be thinking of how much revenue a film of mine will make. I probably cared a lot more when I was the leading man because then the responsibility rested on me. When actors charge a certain fee, they must guarantee a certain return and openings. People talk a lot about the remuneration that superstars get, but they assuredly get the openings at the box office worthy of the cost," he said.

Quiz him if he is fine with the coveted Rs 100 crore club eluding him, and he says, "To feel that a certain film can put me in the Rs 100 crore club is a wrong perception to have as an artiste. I can talk for myself and I am realistic enough to know that I will never ever reach the stage where a film of mine will do Rs 100 crore business. It is a wonder for me that even at 74, filmmakers still want to work with me. I am fortunate that I can wake up every morning and joyfully go to work."
