Pressures of being a star
In an Instagram live chat with footballer Sunil Chhetri, Ranveer said without Deepika's presence in his life, he wouldn't have been able to handle the pressure of being a movie star. He said, "I wouldn't have been able to cope with the pressures of being a movie star, if she wouldn't have been there. I would have been lost. She is much more evolved. She has seen more ups and downs in her career. She is a great guide for me. She is a pillar for me. She keeps me on track. I probably wouldn't have achieved what I did if it wasn't for her."
Feeling complete
Deepika and Ranveer unveiled their wedding video on Koffee With Karan 8. In the clip, the actress can be heard saying, "Suddenly there is a sense of belonging, there is a sense of responsibility that just made it really solid. You feel complete. You know, you feel complete. You feel⦠yeah, complete. That's the right word."
Most vulnerable self
Deepika said in an interview, "With him (Ranveer), I am my 'most vulnerable self.: She further added, "I think we all grow up being influenced by movies, or we grow up being influenced by relationships and the marriages around us. But I think, the sooner you accept that the journey that we are on or that the two people are on is going to be very different from someone else's journey, the better it is." She also shared, "Ranveer has always put me, my dreams, and my ambitions first."
Waking up next to Ranveer makes Deepika happy
In an interview, Deepika shared, "I think vulnerability...and authenticity bring me joy. Recognising these qualities in myself, or in other people, brings me joy. The simple things make me happy, too. Waking up next to my husband, having breakfast with family, or experiencing honest moments with friends, when I can be my truest self... For me, staying grounded is extremely important. In fact, Ranveer and I talk about this often...how anyone can be successful, but what matters more is to be remembered as a good human being."
Proud husband
Ranveer is a proud husband and his statements prove that. At an event, the actor recalled shooting for Nagada Sang Dhol for Ram Leela and said, "This song brings back so many memories. I had barely been introduced to Deepika back then and it was just limited to an attraction at that point in time. When I saw her perform to âNagadaâ¦', things changed, and I started respecting her even more as an artiste." He added, "I am extremely proud of my wife who always gives her 100 percent to whatever she does. I remember, that year she had five blockbuster films back-to-back. Hard work always pays off."
