Acharya Mamta Parvez Khan
UMB PAGEANTS 2024 was a spectacular celebration of talent, grace, and empowerment, with Acharya Mamta Parvez Khan earning the prestigious title of 1st Runner-Up in the Elite category. A Sociology graduate from Mumbai University, Mamta, 44, impressed judges and audiences alike with her poise, confidence, and inspiring story.
Hailing from Mumbai and now actively involved in her husband's business, Mamta has always been a multifaceted individual. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer with a deep passion for animal welfare, she co-founded the Aware Foundation, an NGO based in Ganeshpuri, Maharashtra, along with co-trustee Genevieve Adil Dubash. The foundation is home to over 150 feral animals, including more than 60 dogs and 70 cats, many of whom are disabled. The organization focuses on sheltering, treating, and advocating for the welfare of animals in need.
"This platform has reignited my passion to take my journey forward. It's not just about the title; it's about using it as a voice for change," said Mamta.
Reflecting on her journey, Mamta expressed her gratitude to UMB Pageants and its CEO, Urmimala Boruah, for offering a global platform to women. "UMB has given me the confidence to dream big again. I'm deeply grateful to Urmimala Boruah for her vision and for believing in women like me. Sharing the stage with inspiring personalities like Arjun Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Manushi Chhillar was surreal," she added.

Mamta also credited her family, especially her husband of 17 years, for their unwavering support. "This milestone wouldn't have been possible without my family's encouragement. My journey has just begun, and I am determined to represent India on the international stage, turning this dream into reality."
UMB PAGEANTS 2024 showcased the strength, intellect, and resilience of women from all walks of life, offering them a platform to shine. With her achievement, Mamta is set to continue her journey with renewed determination, aiming to make a global impact.
