Yadwinder Singh an entrepreneur, founder and owner of Pro Punjab TV. He started Pro Punjab TV channel on digital platforms like Facebook and Youtube in September 2020 in the wake of bringing credible news and journalism to people. Now, he is all set to launch two more channels one being Des Bharat TV and other being Des Haryana TV specifically for Haryana centric news very soon!
The Indian media today is caught in the pincer of a severe crisis marked by a lack of credibility and responsibility. In a democracy like India, where there are numerous issues of politics and governance, the media could have been an effective watchdog. It could have helped both government and civil society to course correct. But as we experience daily, this is not the case. There is much toxicity in the presentation of news. We are swamped with fake news on both social media and traditional media.
Pro Punjab Tv was established for this reason so that the credibility of journalists and journalism is maintained. Pro Punjab TV covers every area of Punjab and take people's word to government institutions. His channel Pro Punjab Tv has more than 1.3 million followers on Facebook and 602K followers on YouTube. Yadwinder was honoured by various MP's in Canada and Mayor of Brampton in August for his work.
Prior to being an entrepreneur and Editor in chief, Yadwinder began his journey from a reporter to becoming the Editor of chief of a Web news channel Pro Punjab. He has worked for ABP news and News 18 Punjab, Haryana and Himachal as Deputy Editor. His experience include interviews with famous politicians like Arvind Kejariwal, Shashi Tharur, Captain Amrinder Singh, Charanjit Channi and many Stars from the film industry like Kapil Sharma, Ammy Virk and many more.
Yadwinder has also launched a new channel i.e. Pro Punjab CANADA in the first week of November and his future plans also include establishing two new channels in the month of December i.e. Des Bharat TV and Des Haryana TV.
