An artist herself, Vida shares that it was VHC's first time at FOAID (Festival of Architecture & Interior Designing), in fact; it was the gallery's first time in Mumbai. Recognizing how big FOAID is in the world of premier Architecture and Design fairs, Vida sees it as a great opportunity for VHC to introduce its artists to Mumbai.
VHC showcased the works of contemporary artists, M. Pravat, Vaishali Oak and Vivek Vilasini at FOAID on 7 and 8 October 2022. Ms Heydari believes that the exposure at FOAID was an excellent opportunity for VHC and the artists to connect with the leading architects of the country, and the association encouraged them to work more closely with contemporary art galleries.
Speaking about VHC's theme for the event, Heydari shares that all the three artists have their own way of portraying the world we live in. While M. Pravat's work reflects urban landscapes, Vaishali Oak brings out the visage of a colorful garden via textile and Vivek Vilasini's work draws from life and light during the pandemic.
Ms Heydari talks so passionately about her artists and their work. A little digging into it reveals that she is a seasoned artist who explored oil painting at the tender age of five. She shares that she has always been an admirer of materials, textures and unique concepts through art. This sure explains a lot about her participation at FOAID and the interesting works of her artists M. Pravat, Vaishali Oak and Vivek Vilasini.
