Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar aka SRS, India’s international filmmaker maestro presents his latest master piece NOTES TO A LOVER FROM JENNY ADAM AND HER BEAUTIFUL FAMILY, a silent black and white feature movie shot in 4:3 format.

The entire film has been shot using iPhone 8plus and iPhone XS. This film has his long term business partner Rita Jhawar in a stunning role of a witch and she is one of the main protagonists of the movie. It also features SRS's long term muse Mrunalini Thakur in a pivotal role.

The movie is a period feature set sometimes in mid eighties in urban and rural areas of Bengal. It deals with actual, psychological, cultural and social cannibalism. The genre of the movie is fantasy, supernatural horror. The characters are shown belonging to a lower middle class Anglo Indian family.

Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar is a thinker, poet ,self taught painter and a cult filmmaker. He has transcended the barriers of Bengal and Bollywood regional cinema into the arena of Global storytelling. His movies are a melting pot of Indian, European, American actors sharing equal screen space with a melange of dialogues in Hindi, English, German, Italian, the film making lineage of masters like Satyajit Ray, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, he has created his own genre. His outstanding achievements have seen him become a pioneer in the space of independent cinema worldwide. He has shot three feature movies out of his six movies with iPhone in absolute challenging situations in France and various places of India.

SRS has shown the independent filmmakers across the world what it is to be truly independent without the constraints of a great budget and huge equipment.

SRS and his works are so widely recognized in Europe that in the 2019 Cannes Film Festival he was felicitated in the American pavilion for his smartphone cinema by Prof Karl Bardosh of New York Film Academy. His movies are uniquely women centric yet he claims no such title. As a recognition of his unique cinema and storytelling one of the oldest Festival of Italy, Europe, Premio Internazionale Apoxiomeno is hosted a special showcase of his last two feature movies 'Glorious Dead' and 'Death of Spring ' in a special category in Italy, last year, where he has been invited as the Guest of Honor along with a host of international celebrities. In the In European film world he is called as "Maestro SRS" and is seen as combining iconic names Robert Rodriguez and Lars Von Trier.

A self taught painter (style Impressionist), Poet, Philosopher the filmmaker and storyteller, SRS, runs a production company NEZ Moving Pixels with Rita Jhawar and is the Founder of seven years old art house film festival NEZ International Film Festival. The unique feature of his films are that they are shot on smartphones and are a study in unique cinema making. Mostly avoiding external light sources, no additional art setting, no makeup looks, they represent European cinema movement Dogme 95.

His movie "Death Of Spring" shot entirely in France with just an iPhone and involving actors from cross country has been awarded with Best Film and Best Background Music by Indian World Film Festival- Hyderabad, it also won the Best Director and Best Background Music Award at Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and recently concluded 9th Noida International Film Festival awarded him with Best Director- Jury and Best Background Music for Death Of Spring.SRS started another landmark event in 2015, NEZ International Film Festival. Now in its 7th year it is a ‘Go to Festival' for independent Filmmakers across the world. Starting with 2021 the festival has tied up with a premier 25 year old Film Festival of Italy. SRS has started a new project in the field of OTT dealing with art cinema.
