Dholera Smart City has been in the talks for almost a decade, and no other project has gained so much popularity right from its beginning. The greenfield project is inching towards its completion, and it has received overwhelming support from both industries and educational institutions who want to be a part of tomorrow's global smart city. Reliance and Google executives recently visited it for their smartphone JioNext manufacturing plant-related survey while even defence oriented industries are eyeing the region.
In a recent development, Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Bhupendra Chudasma, Former Education Minister and local MLA; and MLA Jagdish Vishwakarma recently visited Dholera SIR on December 6. They were accompanied by Rajeev Gupta Chairman-DICDL, Hareet Shukla MD-DICDL, and Ahmedabad Collector. The dignitaries took a tour of the activation area site spread over 22.54 sq. km.
Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel lauded the innovative initiatives undertaken in Dholera SIR, which included Tata Power's 300 MW Solar Park which is the world's largest single tracker. He further expressed his take on Dholera's data-centric smart infrastructure for good governance and assured that his government would give all facilities to senior officials and other stakeholders associated with this project to make it successful.

Mr Ambrish Parajiya, Director at GAP Associates, said, "I am quite impressed with the administration's efforts, and the progress has started to materialise. The conversation with Shri Bhupendrabhai was motivating, and his dedication towards the smart city boosted our morale. Dholera's transformation is going at four times faster than what we had expected."
Shri Rajeev Gupta also echoed by saying that they will work day and night to fulfil the vision of PM Shri Narendra Modi to give India the world's first global green smart city. Shri Hareet Shukla gave a ground report of existing work and project version of DICDL. The positive words received much appreciation from the attendees who gathered there before the big event of Gujarat Vibrant Gujarat 2022.
19 MoUs were signed recently during the Dubai Road Show that cover projects like logistics park and green cement manufacturing in various sectors in Dholera city during CM's two-day visit to Dubai. Thus, the developments are quite positive for all stakeholders and the inflow of investments have helped Dholera SIR as it nears its commissioning phase.
