A vision to become a writer was always Swati's true north. A name that immediately draws recognition from the emerging future of writers in India. Swati Sharma is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter, a girl from Rajasthan's Pink City Jaipur who achieved a milestone at a very young age. Currently she is working as a writer at Brat TV, launched in 2017 , a media company that writes TV shows for Gen Z and is well-known on youtube.

The journey of change started with her tender age, she went to MGD, Jaipur , always scribbling poems in her notebook and always taking writing assignments in English and Hindi classes gravely. Always been a fan of writing that can interest and inspire someone in the form of stories, plays and poetry. In her school days she bagged many awards and distinctions for her work. Her enclosed circle encouraged this -a new practice was born, and she decided to pursue writing professionally and went to New York to study screenwriting at the School of Visual Arts.

Embarking her journey with a bang, Swati got her poetry published in an anthology called "Feminists Don't Wear Pink" and "Other Lies in the U.K". This hit the climax in her writing career during her youth days. Prior to Brat TV, she worked on acclaimed documentaries like ‘Citizen Hearst', ‘Bernstein's wall' and ‘American Veteran.' IFurthermore, she's a Recipient of The Rhodes Family Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film.

She immersed herself in different areas of life fuelled with passion. As an intern she worked in unscripted television and contributed to diverese multidisciplinary projects while completing her academics in college, which has got her significant acknowledgement and a kick-off start in the writing industry with multiple opportunities awaiting in future. She proved that being diligent can make you do wonders truly now and beyond.

Her love for writing made her feel compelled to take a step towards writing and she devoted herself to her profession. Her numerous internships paved a path for her in right direction, Not only she worked as a Film Development Intern in Sun Entertainment Culture, but also worked as a Production Assistant Intern in 4th Row Films where she wrote script coverage for scripted and non-scripted submissions (pitch decks, scripts, treatments) and worked as a Screenwriter in Brevity Learning Services Pvt. Ltd in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Nowadays,she is writing ‘Hyphen' an ensemble comedy-drama about the varied immigrant experiences in New York and is planning to work on fun shows for Brat TV for now, with complete focus on enhancing her writing skills. Being a 22 year and pulling off this marvel ,give chills on her inspiring and exhilarating expedition. Her ambitions and courage are always worth remembering. From Jaipur to Los Angeles, she has already set an epitome of an idol one looks up to. Inspiring many more to come. In an interview she said,

"It is better to write a bad first draft than to write no first draft at all."
