The trailer of the much-anticipated film Kushi starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu was unveiled today. A grand event was held in Hyderabad where media from different parts of the country united with the film's cast and crew.

Kushi, directed by Shiva Nirvana, revolves around Aaradhya (Samantha) and Viplav (Vijay). The beginning indicates that the film could be around an inter-faith love story. However, it turns out to be a sweet story of a young couple who take the audience on a twisted journey of love. Kushi's trailer explores the problem faced by a married couple when real troubles and compatibility issues strike.
Kushi also stars Murli Sharma and Sachin Khedekar. Written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will be releasing on September 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
The film was announced in 2019. It went on floors in 2022. Due to Samantha’s myositis and treatment, Kushi's shooting schedules went for a rejig. Currently, she is on a break from work. Samantha chose to skip the trailer launch of Kushi. Vijay was present to address the media.
Kushi is Samantha's latest film after Shaakuntalam. The mythological fantasy film didn't receive the desired response at the box office. The multilingual project by Gunasekhar tanked at the box office. Samantha will be seen in Raj & DK's upcoming web series, Citadel, with Varun Dhawan. She took a break after completing the shoot of the action spy-thriller created by the Russo Brothers.
Vijay's last film was Liger. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, it also starred Ananya Panday. The film was his first Hindi language project. Despite the good buzz and pre-release expectations, Liger failed to connect with the theatre-going audience. He had even collaborated with Puri for their next film titled JGM. The film is yet to go on floors. It was announced amid Liger's promotions.
Kushi isn't Vijay and Samantha's first film together. They starred in Nadigayar Thilakam (2018) and Mahanati (2019). The songs from Kushi are already a rage among fans globally. Na Rojaa Nuvve and Aaradhya were released before the trailer.
